If the opponent draws a good card, they may be able to beat the player who knocked. Whatever the reason, knocking can be a risky move, as it gives the opponent one last chance to improve their hand. Another reason is if the player has a hand with a very low score, and knocking will end the round before the opponent has a chance to catch up. One is if they are confident that their hand is strong enough to beat the opponent’s, even after the opponent has one last turn. There are a few reasons why a player might choose to knock. The opponent then has one last turn to draw and discard, after which the round is over and the hands are scored. To knock, the player simply declares that they are knocking, lays their cards down on the table, and reveals their hand.
